Located near to the headwaters of the Comal River, Wurstfest is actually the best land festival in the city of New Braunfels. Enjoy ale, sausage and German music as of this unique event that has is one of the better Oktoberfests in the Lone Legend State.

The first Wurstfest commenced in 1961 and drew a group around 2,000. Wurstfest grew from a one-day event to now a 10-day event. Currently, this celebration pulls more than 100,000 site visitors, simply to commemorate everything German and Bavarian. Many festival-goers even decorate in lederhosen and alpine hats.
